Greetings!
I'm a Texas-based artist who previously spent many hours in staff meetings as an educator and administrator. Sometimes (ok...a lot of the time!), I'd fill the margins of my legal pad with images of mountains, creeks and trees. That led to a vacation in the mountains where I finally put paint on a canvas. Sitting on a foldable camp stool in the woods, surrounded by lush vegetation and the music of a babbling brook, I found my inspiration as an artist!
In 2017, I began my art journey with purpose by enrolling in a year-long Art & Design Program at Exeter College in England and followed that with a Master of Art Degree in Painting in the UK coastal city of Plymouth. It was there I made the transition to a looser, more intuitive style of art-making focusing on expressive horizons, textures and colors that were vibrant and earthy.
Today I'm back home in the Lone Star State but my art is a reflection of that amazing, life-changing experience. If you're a lover of expressive mountain scenes, vibrant woodlands and creeks, then I hope my art speaks to you through places remembered.
